Since its founding 38 years ago, Auto Zürich has always strived to offer its exhibitors the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness. The best indication of this is the fact that the price per square meter has remained virtually unchanged during this time, even though the industry has been changing into a very volatile environment characterized by massive disruption for some time now.

Regardless of this, we remain convinced that a modern trade fair concept has a future. Because we continue to believe that direct contact and experience with a vehicle is the best sales tool available to retailers. We don't yet know of a substitute for the verdict of the buttometer when test-sitting, regardless of the segment or drive system.

For us, being contemporary means always being in tune with our exhibitors. Their main criticism of common trade fair formats was primarily related to the effort involved, and in particular to the things that are usually done in-house during the planning and preparation phase. We mostly deal with customers who do not have the appropriately aligned functions and key personnel in their own company.

Auto Zürich reacted decisively and systematically to this some time ago and aligned the new car area with a new exhibition architecture that works consistently according to the "plug & play principle" and can still be implemented with moderate budgets. This largely relieves the exhibitors of planning and construction tasks. At most, they still have to ensure that the exhibits are available and looked after during the exhibition days.

Plug & Play was also an opportunity to give the trade fair a new, uniform and, above all, contemporary design. And by that we don't just mean form and function, but also the issue of sustainability. This form of holistic planning is also the key to being able to exploit the full scope of what is possible in terms of material use and reusability.

With Auto Zürich 2023, this new concept was implemented for the third time. We now reach around 97% of all exhibitors in the new car sector with this offer. And with the second repetition of all the essential elements, we now have proof that the principle of sustainability and quality to which we are committed is a lived reality at Auto Zürich.

We are also delighted to receive the “Xaver Award 2023” in bronze in the “Best Expo Project” category.
