The drive of the new AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE combines the AMG 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine on the front axle with an Electric Drive Unit on the rear axle to produce a system output of 600 kW (816 hp). The basic operating strategy is derived from the hybrid power pack of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 racing car.
