Teil 1: MTM Switzerland

Auto Zürich 2024 will feature an even larger portfolio of brands and exhibitors than last year. We will be introducing those who will be represented in the halls of Messe Zürich for the first time this year individually here in the coming weeks.

MTM stands for "Motoren Technik Mayer" and was founded in 1990 by Roland Mayer in Wettstetten (D). He was previously an engineer at Audi and was involved in the development of the five-cylinder turbo engine of the Audi quattro and the Group B racing car Audi Sport quattro. The range of vehicles refined by MTM now extends from Audi to Seat, Skoda and VW to McLaren, Lamborghini, Bentley and Porsche.

MTM Switzerland gives customers in Switzerland access to this world of automotive superlatives. Visitors to this year's Auto Zurich can marvel at several very special implementations of this technology forge in the so-called penthouse above the halls of the Zurich Exhibition Center.

One of these highlights is the new MTM RS6 GT EVO, of which there will be a maximum of three examples worldwide. The vehicle, which will be on display at the MTM Switzerland stand in November, is number 0 of 3 and thus the prototype of the powerhouse with over a thousand horsepower.

The MTM RS6 GT EVO is powered by a highly refined V8 biturbo engine, which is equipped with the so-called Stage 4 kit from MTM. The result is 1001 hp and a torque of 1250 Nm, which is in no way inferior to that of a Bugatti Veyron.

The vehicle weighs just under 1800 kg, which is around 400 kg lighter than the standard version. MTM says that it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds, and reaches 200 km/h in just 7.5 seconds. The top speed is 360 km/h. And all of this is, of course, completely legal in terms of Swiss registration regulations.

An Audi RS7 with a power boost to 1001 hp developed by MTM will also be on display at the Auto Zurich. This vehicle is currently the largest power boost legally permitted in Switzerland.

As the third in the group, MTM Switzerland is showing an Audi RS 3, which has been given a top-class performance upgrade by MTM. As an MTM RS3 8Y, the five-cylinder engine produces a whopping 653 hp (480 kW), making it more powerful than any conventionally powered series Audi.
