Part 4: Bertone

Auto Zürich 2024 will feature an even larger portfolio of brands and exhibitors than last year. We will be introducing those who will be represented in the halls of Messe Zürich for the first time this year individually here in the coming weeks.

Innovative, daring, unique: there are many adjectives that could be used to describe the work of Carrozzeria Bertone, and more could be added if only one took the time to admire the extensive production. Masters such as Marcello Gandini, Franco Scaglione and Giorgetto Giugiaro have created dozens of fundamental masterpieces in automotive history, real milestones.

The history of the Turin-based Carrozzeria is now 112 years old and has always produced special vehicles with unique designs and extra performance.

In 2020, the company experienced a kind of rebirth under the leadership of Mauro and Jean-Franck Ricci. Both have more than 30 years of experience in engineering and the automotive industry. Under their leadership, this big name among car manufacturers will return to the stage. And wants to build on glory days like a phoenix from the ashes with strictly limited series in the hypercar segment.

The newly designed Bertone GB110 not only brings an impressive racing car onto the road, but also breathes new life into the brand. Accordingly, the two brothers have put a lot of effort into developing an extremely powerful hypercar, of which only 33 examples will be made.

This has an output of 1,124 hp and develops a maximum torque of 1,100 Nm with its combustion engine. According to the manufacturer, this is achieved by a V10 twin turbo that can reach up to 8,400 revolutions per minute. The top speed of the Bertone GB110 is said to be 350 km/h, and it can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3 seconds. The car is powered by all-wheel drive and can alternatively be fueled with synthetic fuel.
